Implement Strategies

In life we’re bound to traverse through a number of difficult situations however it is our response in dealing with these situations that can determine how our future is shaped. Often times we go through difficult situations without knowing how to start dealing with them. Have you ever felt lost, confused or disheartened when dealing with illness, job loss, financial crisis or even death?

Lost, Confused, Perplexed

Well, it is important to have strategies to implement when dealing with these circumstances. Joseph, when confronted with a difficult situation in Potiphar’s house had a strategy for escape; so too are we to implement strategies to avoid feeling lost when these circumstances occur. What strategies do you use when dealing with difficult situations?

In his book “Dealing with Difficult Situations… the Processing of the Lord” #DWDS, the author Wayne Brown highlights five strategies to deal with difficult situations. One of which is being able to speak the Word into your situation. He goes on to say that we can do this by ‘finding out what God said about your situation and begin saying what He has said.’  Even Jesus utilized this approach when He Himself was faced with a difficult situation like he did during His temptation process. His response was always embedded in the Word of God. Do you know you can use the Word of God to make declarations into your situations? Have you ever tried this?

Bible, Reading The Word, Implement Strategies

Make a conscious effort today in getting to know the Word of God; it can be a source of strength and a strategy to overcome difficult situations.

In life when dealing with difficult situations you need to have the correct attitude. Before I came to know Christ I use to worry and fuss a lot about things, but now I do things differently.I pray more and leave every thing to God.

I realised as a teenager to deal with difficult situations in life is not an easy thing, but today I have given myself to Christ and now I have hope and I trust Him to take care of all my circumstances that i would face, so I have decided to walk accurately and build the correct relationship with Him.

I’ve found that it’s important, not only to declare the word of God into my situation, but to have faith that God is able to manifest His promises ( those that I’ve declared based on His word ) in my life. So I declare, have faith, and wait on His perfect timing.

    • Avril Fox-Pooran

Very true, and we also have to remember that faith without works is dead so there are times when God may require us to actively engage in certain behaviours while we are declaring, having faith, waiting etc. We have to discern whether this is necessary for our particular circumstance because we are in partnership with Him.

God’s timing IS perfect!! Once that is nailed down inside of us there is no hurt, no disappointment, no disillusionment or danger that can overpower. Don’t expend energy on hating, gossiping, or thinking up of ways to hurt others and yourself. Expend energies on crying out to God, having faith in Him and God, who is sovereign WILL hear and answer because His timing is truly perfect. The thing i like about God is that He doesn’t just bring you out of a situation, but He changes you in the process so that you become a better edition of yourself, able to handle any challenge that comes your way with confidence in HIS strength.

“The thing i like about God is that He doesn’t just bring you out of a situation, but He changes you in the process so that you become a better edition of yourself, able to handle any challenge that comes your way with confidence in HIS strength.” I love this! Its so true! God always takes us through a process hidden within our difficult situations that shapes a new version of ourselves once we process accurately. This empowers and encourages me to engage every process even more diligently because I know He is making me into the person He requires! Thanks for sharing 🙂

As a believer, I recognize the warfare and that it is to my benefit to take the fight to the enemy. If fear and anxiety rears its ugly head, all is not lost; if I have to cry and tremble while making declarations, then that is what I will do to stand firmly in God! I don’t have to be a super hero when I stand, I just need to be convinced in my heart that God’s Will and desire is to respond to the declarations in my prayers.

This reminds me of Daniel’s three friends in Daniel chap 3 who made a powerful declaration right before they were thrown into the fiery furnace. God brought them victory and validated them as His children to the praise of unbelievers. Theirs and the testimony discussed, remain as a reminder to me of the power available for me to consistently, and without a doubt, invalidate the speaking of the enemy over my life. A very powerful testimony in the life of the author’s wife.

As people, we all go through processes daily. It’s not that the Lord doesn’t care about us but He wants us to have faith in Him and never allow our sight to be shifted no matter what the circumstance. I therefore need to pay particular attention to the small things that I need to change because it’s the small things that can cause me to abort my walk with God. By me having government and walking with faith I will continue to accurately align myself to the purposes of God.

I can totally relate to what you’re saying, I’ve learnt that it is those small things that make a huge difference. I remember going through a situation with my finances where I was trying to manage my expenses. It seemed difficult but through inquiring, I felt God highlighting little aspects of my spending for adjustment that seemed irrelevant to the whole but through obedience and with time I’ve seen where these small adjustment has made a huge difference. Going through that process was difficult but it truly has helped me in the long run so I can agree with everything you’ve said and has been said in this blog.

Implementing strategies is of utmost importance in making a process valid.if there is no strategizing on how to get the valuable lessons learnt along the way inside the very essence of my spirit then I will be like the Israelites, where their eyes beheld the promised land but could not enter because of unbelief. But if I truly believe what God says I will ask him for the spirit of wisdom to implement accurately and through his divine grace carry out the implememtation with accuracy.

Chapter three impacted me in three ways
1 God’s timing never comes in the super heroes form, where we cry out for deliverance for whatever is used to process is

2 God leaves is in a predicament once he knows it will develop us and keeps us humble no matter how desperately we cry out for release

3.God is sovereign and is Love even though he may appear wicked but his main aim is to keep us humble and make us spiritually strong.

I must never get frustrated with my present crisis. I must be able to look to God to gain strength to fight through the crisis & see the purpose of my crisis or see what God is telling me through my crisis. Crisis causes a stronger & closer relationship with God & make us better

I have come to realize that in Christ and in aiming to understand the nature and intent of God, some things are complex and some things are rather straightforward. Perhaps, I see it as being straightforward because of lessons learnt over time. Nonetheless, even though some things are basic/straightforward, it is my lack of implementation that may cause a particular process to drag along. Hence, I make at least the little steps that are necessary to bring order and structure to my life. Little things like trying to nail down a daily schedule/agenda and worshipping instead of fussing when my heart is burdened helps…it takes deliberate and conscious effort to implement but it helps….

We are all in a process, but is how we go about with the process..
After reading this it brought to my attention that I must never give up on God no matter what. I must always have faith in him and be obedient to him at all times…

God will never put us through a situation knowing that we can’t overcome or defeat it.
The grace is always given to overcome whatever situation we are going through.

“She was completely cured. We did not even know when she was healed—God just did it”.
Here we see that after all she had been through, she never gave up on God and at all times had faith and believe in him, knowing that God would’ve healed her.

I must do the same, knowing that whatever God puts me through, I will overcome it.

    • Jo-ann Parris

So true Elvis. You called out some key ingredients/principles to really pleasing God and walking in His victory, while scattering the enemy and having him scratching his head. I am also reminded by your second paragraph that if I hang in there long enough, the Jo-ann that comes out on the other side will be much more matured and pleasing to God than the Jo-ann that started to walk through the process. Such a beautiful thing!
